The difference you’re looking for

BUILDER GEL (BIAB)
BIAB nails are pretty versatile.Â
If you have nail length but find yours break easily, BIAB can be applied underneath gel polish to make your manicure last longer. You can also use BIAB to repair broken nails by creating an extension, or for overall length, a whole set of extensions.
Although it is not as chemically strong as acrylic, it does have more flexible bonds; making it largely more durable than acrylic in the long run. It is a must for those wishing to grow their own natural nails and keep them in good, strong condition. Ideal for nail biters and those wishing to grow their nails without the use of acrylic or extensions.
You can also infill your manicure using BIAB, which means the builder doesn’t need to be soaked off if you want to change your gel nail colour.
Rather than soaking in acetone and filing it all off, your manicurist can top up the BIAB from the bottom and reshape the existing shape.
This process saves time and your nails.
LIQUID & POWDER (ACRYLICS)
Acrylic nails are made by mixing a liquid (monomer) and powder (polymer) to create a pliable bead, which is then applied to the natural nails.
The mixture hardens and forms a durable layer over the natural nails.
Acrylic nails are known for their durability and strength, and they can be shaped and filed to create various looks. However, they can also be harsh on natural nails and may cause damage if not applied or maintained correctly. It is imperative to take care of your acrylics and make sure that you use a reputable nail artist to apply them.
The use of E-Files is very common now but always check your technician holds the relevant qualification to use one. Damage is quick to create but hard to heal.
